How to log calls, texts and LinkedIn in your CRM (2026)

Calls and texts log themselves when reps use a dialer or texting app with a native CRM integration; most plans run $23 to $50 a user a month billed yearly, on the vendors' own pricing pages. LinkedIn is harder. Its rules ban extensions that scrape or automate the site, and its own CRM sync skips Pipedrive and Zoho.

Each price was read on the vendor's own page on October 20, 2026. "Logs to" lists the CRMs each vendor's page names; others may connect through an app or Zapier. Orum and Nooks, two power dialers, don't publish prices.

Texts from a rep's personal phone don't reach the CRM unless a tool logs them. Each tool above gives the rep a business number whose texts it logs.

LinkedIn: tools and the rules they work under

LinkedIn's help page says it doesn't permit "browser plug-ins, or browser extensions that scrape, modify the appearance of, or automate activity on LinkedIn's website", and that members who use them "risk having their accounts restricted or shut down" (source). The tools below work in different ways. LinkedIn doesn't name any of them; ask each vendor how its tool reads LinkedIn.

What I'd check first

One dialer for everyone. When some calls go through a second tool or a rep's cell, those calls are missing from every report. Pick one dialer and turn off the rest.

The outcome, not just the call. A dialer can log an unanswered call as if it were a conversation. Open 10 logged calls and check that each says what happened.

Who it's filed against. A logged call on the wrong contact is worse than none. In a system I built on Salesforce and Microsoft 365, a note or call files itself only when the system is confident of the match, and every write is logged and can be undone.
